Do 11 year old girls wear boys trousers?

I have an 11yo ds who is growing out of his trousers every 4 months, so I have a pile of barely used cord trousers and jeans, all good brands. Should I hold onto them for my 6 year old daughter when she's older? I'm thinking the cut might be very different to girls trousers? She's currently a very girly girl, if that makes a difference!

We did hand down my sons trousers to one of my girls and but they don’t always fit - what I found was by the time they were tall enough for the boys trousers they had girls hips (the difference is subtle but there) and the cut was all wrong - stretchy waistbands like jersey shorts though worked fine.
my daughter loves wearing her brothers clothes (soft and pre washed!) but then she adores him so I think that’s part of it too. Her younger sister has already turned up her nose at several pairs of trousers as being too boyish and bulky but she is 10 and doesn’t yet fit his 6 year old ones.. waists too big, she’s too short.

also remember how many years you might be storing them for… potentially 8 years and they will be quite out of style and better things will come along.. donation might be better unless there are pairs you really love.

Thanks Outd00rs, that’s what I was wondering with girls hips etc…ds just had a group of friends over and the girls are all talk, slim and definitely no longer straight up and down little girl-shape. They are bulky winter trousers, so yes, I think you’re right, storing them for years will be a pain. Thank you so much for your advice
