Is a lot of wind when sleeping normal early on?

Hey everyone,

I am a 40 year old father of three, 2 boys 17 & 5 and a lovely little girl who is 2 weeks tomorrow.

She is great and doing all the normal stuff but one thing is bothering me a tiny bit and that is to do with the amount of wind she has even after a good burp and keeping her upright for a bit.

She does the possessed eye rolling thing and weird twitching and squeaks etc

It's after nearly every feed at the moment. I just wanted to ask if it's pretty normal at this point and she just needs a bit of time to mature physically? She is only dinky 6lb 2 and came just before 38 weeks.

Thanks very much in advance.

I remember both my kids had lots of wind but it didn't seem to bother them. Is your dd uncomfortable or colicky?

I hope someone else with more experience or knowledge will reply soon. I think though you might get more responses if you post on the parenting board as that is more active.

Thank you, I will do that.

I would say she can be hard to settle on odd occasions but it's hard to say if it definitely because of wind. She doesn't seem to be in pain from it. Maybe slight discomfort and occasionally hiccups.
