My 3 year old currently only goes to nursery twice a week. I look after him 2 days a week and the other day he’s with grandparents.
Recently his behaviour on the days I look after him is just making me miserable and he seems miserable too. He doesn’t want to play with any toys with me, just constantly asks to watch tv and throws a tantrum when I say no. He doesn’t want to go out anywhere, I offer to take him to the park..no. Soft play? No. Bus ride? No. Library, museum, shops… no.
I’m at my wits end and just feel like putting him in nursery those extra 2 days that he should be with me. He doesn’t seem to appreciate or enjoy his time with me so why should I bother but I’m torn because I do love him and wish it was different.
Is anyone else going through this?
