7 week old suddenly whining and sleeping a lot - growth spurt?

My 7 week old has not been himself since last night. He was very sleepy in the evening and overnight would arch, grunt and whimper all night long on his back in cot. He seemed to be like this all night without any deep sleep.
He has wanted to sleep all day today and has just cried during awake time.
His cry sounds different and is more of a constant whine than a loud cry

Temp is normal, no rashes and is feeding from breast with normal nappies

the health visitor seemed to suggest a bunch of things but it seems odd to me that he has been out of character just in the last 24 hours.
I have read about 6-8 week growth spurts
Can anyone shed some light?

Usually they feed a lot more than usual during a growth spurt.

How are they doing today?

@PolaroidPrincess thank you for replying! He thankfully seemed a lot better the next day and back to usual self. Must have been an off 24 hours!

So glad he's feeling better. They do like to throw these little curve balls to keep you on your toes don't they?
