Toddler pinching-is it for comfort?

Hi all, my son is nearly 2. I've started to notice when he's tired, upset or just having a cuddle he has to pinch me, mainly on the upper inside of my arm or anywhere on my arms infact. He's pinching me so hard im being left with little bruises, I'm really at a loss & intrigued,is this a comfort thing ? He's my third & I've never encountered this with my others.

It probably is a comfort thing, but you can still tell him to stop it. He doesn't have to pinch you.

Absolutely agree, I'm just unsure how to redirect, he's definitely been the hardest.
