Hi,

I wondered if anybody could recommend a good book or website that lists the stages that boys go through during adolescence?

My DS is having a very hard time with the growth changes of puberty. At the moment it is joint pain that happens in all different parts of his body, but previously there were periods of voratious eating and then sometimes he would grow at 1cm a week for several weeks.

It would just be really nice to have a sort of lonely planet guidebook to tell us what is coming next (unless it's bad in which case maybe we don't want to know.)

DS is ASD and hypermobile, if that makes a difference, but doesn't meet threshold for Ehler-Danlos diagnosis. We are seeing a paediatrician for medical advice.

Thanks!

I don't know of a guidebook for the physical side at all. You do mention eating though and we found this guide from the Caroline Walker Trust to help super helpful on that regard.

It might be worth asking about a guidebook in the SN Teens section too Wink

Thanks, I think he actually has a virus, which makes more sense. I think I have probably caught it now, worse luck. Oh well.
