8 month old scared of bath

My 8 month old has all of a sudden become terrified of getting in the bath. The past week when it become’s bath time she is clinging onto me before getting in and crying her eyes out throughout the whole of bath time. I don’t understand why as she has always loved bath times: splashing around in the water playing with her toys and giggling at me. She hasn’t had any bad experience so I’m confused how she’s all of a sudden petrified of being in the bath.
Has anyone experienced this or have any advice on how to overcome it?

In my experience, you just have to soldier on. It's not pleasant and yes, can be stressful, but children need to learn that bathing is a non-negotiable. I've seen and heard lots of people doing things like getting in the bath with them, very shallow baths, small baby tubs in the bath or a different part of the house, but to not much avail, and a lot of pandering too them. It's fairly normal and it is a phase that will end.
