15 months old - nursery observation of feet

Hi looking for hopefully positive stories as I can't stop crying. 😭 Nursery have said that yesterday they noticed that when my 15 month old girl pulls herself up to standing (she's not walking yet), her feet aren't flat. They put her feet flat to the floor and her knees basically gave way. They said maybe that's why she's not yet walking and to book a GP appointment. I have tried booking today and they've told me it's not urgent and the next appointment is 3 weeks time.

I'm just so worried what this means and why I've not noticed it earlier. Maybe I could've prevented a delay in walking if that's what it means.

I've attached a couple of photos if anyone has had similar with their toddler???

Thank you 😭❤️

If your health visitor is decent, give them a call for an opinion; they are usually able to refer to physio without speaking to a GP if it's needed.

@katpw it might have delayed her walking but not walking at 15 months is perfectly normal. In fact the advice is to see a GP if they've reached 18 months and not walking.

Now that Nursery have mentioned it, I would see the GP, even if it's 3 weeks away. Contacting your HV as suggested by the PP is good advice too, however I'd still keep that appointment with the GP, just in case she needs referring to a Paediatrician, just to get checked out Flowers

Some pronation of the feet is normal in babies that age. It depends on the severity and only a physio can determine that.
