Don't Know How To Get Rid Of Dummies!

Hi everyone, need some advice please!

My smol is 3 in August. So far we've (by we I mean she, little warrior she is) has conquered being a preemie, a milk allergy and potty training. But dummies are stead fast. Shes a brilliant sleeper, having 1.5hr nap in the day and sleeping overnight but dummies are still there.

We're managed to go from 5 (1 for the mouth, 1 in each hand and 2 lurking in the cot if she loses 1) to 3. But I just don't know how to give up these last ones! How did everyone else do it?

She starts preschool in September so its either now or after she starts so she has that comfort for then...but that'll be when naps pretty much stop anyway...

Advice?!

I've just started taking my 20 month olds away in the morning and not giving it until he has a nap or goes to bed. I felt so bloody awful but he surprised me with how much he doesn't actually need it in the day. Could this be a possibility. Sleep time only then slowly wean that?

Thanks @Devilsmommy I maybe should have mentioned that, I'm new to this whole posting business. She only has them for naps and overnight sleep, shes been that way for well over a year now. If I pop her in her cot with a book whilst I take a quick shower she'll pass them to me because "not nap yet!" So she knows! I know its time to get rid of them just scratching my head how?!
