Baby won't sit on my lap

Hello, my baby is 6 months old and since he has been born will not sit on my lap and will get agitated.

Just wondering is this normal as I am worried and it gets me down.. he has a bouncer which he loves to sit in. I feel awful on times because he will not sit on my lap for more than 2 minutes. I have tried everything but always gets upset, he gets bored very easily. Please help thankyou.

does he sit on others’ legs?

I have a very busy and inquisitive 10 month old, hadn’t sat on my lap for longer than a minute in a very long time and will get agitated if I try to hold her. She just wants to get going, she appears to be developing well so maybe you just also have a busy baby?

Mine was similar - likes to move and do things, not really one for just sitting there. Has gone through clingy/cuddly stages at times, now 17.5 months, but still won't always even sit for the duration of one book! Is a perfectly happy, very busy child.
