4 year olds tummy constantly hurts and she "feels sick"

Hi all, my 4 year old DD constantly tells me her tummy hurts and she feels sick, this has been going on for about 6 months and I'm not sure whether I should take her to see a doctor or whether I should let it run it's course (if it will) I'm almost 99% sure it's anxiety and not a stomach issue.

She is currently on the waiting list for an autism assessment (I am actually autistic myself, diagnosed aged 11)

Over the last few months her diet has become extremely limited and all she will eat now is bland food, plain pasta, plain porridge, ham sandwiches, mashed potato etc, she will eat certain fruit but prefers these still in baby pouch form. Oh and broccoli is the only vegetable she will touch.

Her tummy seems to "hurt" the most before nursery, she struggles to leave me, after social situations and when out in busy places.

I'm just not sure what more the doctors could do as she's already waiting to be assessed for Autism.

Thanks!

I’m no expert but before becoming a mummy I worked in an international kindergarten with 3-6 year olds. It could very well be anxiety. I would say trust your mum gut, you will know if there is something really bothering her stomach outside of anxiety. Also, hope she’s feeling braver soon, nursery/school is so hard for little ones 🥹

I'm assuming constipation is ruled out?
Did she tell you what is happening in kindergarten, maybe talk to other parents if they know is something up with teacher... did you talk to the kindergarten staff? Is there problems with other children?
