10 month baby rocking head back and forth repetitively

My 10 month old has started to swing his head back really hard throughout the day since past 2 weeks. Every time he is sat, whether its in the bouncy chair or couch or bed, he suddenly throws his head backwards really fast with alot of momentum. When started he does this repeatedly and fast.. I have tried to stop him but its getting to a point that he would randomly do it many times throughout the day.. i cant leave him unattended strapped in the bouncer chair or on the couch for 1-2 min to even go to toilet or go grab something, as i turn around and he is repeatedly swinging his head backwards. When he is sat on the bed, at random times, he would throw himself backwards really fast to where he ends up landing in a laying position on the bed. I am worried about these repetitive fast movements shaking his brain and causing brain damage to him. I feel like he may be injuring his brain.
Has anyone had any experience of their baby doing this?

Sorry @Brokenpearl, that's not something I've come across before.
