Toddler Takes 2-3 Hours To Sleep At Night

Hello

My 2.5 y/o dd takes hours to fall asleep at night and I don’t know what to do anymore.
She has a structured routine; dinner, bath, yoga, stories and bed. With her typically going down about 8pm. She doesn’t have a daytime nap anymore, the occasional hour on nursery days. She has an active lifestyle, nursery x3 full days per week, swimming and gymnastics classes plus weekly visits to art cafes, softplay and parks.
As soon as my partner and I leave the room she is out of bed, climbing on furniture, taking her bed sheets off, pulling clothes out her drawers and basically getting into anything she can. We’ve removed her book case and any toys and it has not helped at all.
What can we do to get her to settle and stay in bed? She is exhausted in the mornings and it’s really impacting her behaviour during the day. This has been going on for about 3 months now - it’s 10:40pm and she has been in her room for 3 hours now and is still awake!!!

Hi there,
What time does she wake up in the morning? I'm wondering if she's overtired, maybe try an earlier bedtime of 7:30 to begin with and go from there.
My Ds (3.5) is a real challenge at bedtime when he's overtired!

Mmm, I would also ask when she typically gets up. Also, how much sleep in 24 hours did she typically have before this bad spell? Did it correspond with any changes in her sleep routine (dropping the nap, moving from a cot to a bed, sleeping bag to duvet, change in evening routine, anything) or other changes in her life?
