..... your 15 month old

a) didn't walk more than a couple of steps independently.

b) babbles but does not point. Does not say 'Ma' or 'Dad' or try to name anything.

No

Not in isolation, is there an underlying concern or a pattern that's worrying you?

PinkMimosa · 13/01/2024 07:11

The walking sounds absolutely bang on.

The speech and language may be a little behind. How did he score on his 12 month check?

AnnaSewell · 13/01/2024 07:54

12 month check went okay.

Older sibling did not walk till 21 months. Now 3 years and 8 months, and does not speak. Paediatrician diagnosed autism.

Younger child much more interactive and sociable than older one.

It's good that the 12 month check went ok.

As you've got one DC with ASD abc you're concerned about DC2, I'd book an appointment with your HV, if you can, and fill in the 26 month Ages & Stages and the 18 month social & emotional ages & stages and ask her to mark both of them.

This should give an indication of whether your DC2 needs done extra support Flowers
