2 year old not interested in 11 week old sister

Hi all,

I have a 2 year old son, just turned 2. He has a baby sister who is 11 weeks old. He has absolutely no interest in her whatsoever. If we put her near him he will freak out and move away. And he basically spends all day pretending she's not there. She loves him and is always smiling and trying to chat to him.

When will my 2 year old get more interested in her? Would love to hear some similar experiences.

Don't worry. For a 2yo they're totally boring.
When they start crawling he won't be indifferent. He'll probably hate her 😁

When the baby starts interfering then that's when they take notice really. Not many 2yos are really interested after the first look. It's a noisy little thing that takes up mummy and daddy's time and doesn't play.
Just make sure that he gets his own time, and when she starts crawling you can encourage to do some play together, but also be respectful of his space and things he's playing with too.
