Not collecting my daughter from nursery

My daughter is 14m old. She's a very fussy, very easily upset baby. All her life she's spent more of her waking hours crying than content. We don't know why but we're living with it. She's very well looked after and very loved, she's just a miserable baby.
I work full time as a NICU nurse, my husband works full time and we're 3+ hours away from any family so she's in nursery 2 days a week. Almost every time she goes into nursery they message us saying she's miserable and won't stop crying, they can't ask us to pick her up unless she's unwell but they are very much suggesting that they want us to. The thing is if I pick her up, she'll just be equally as miserable at home and we still have to pay the nursery even though they aren't looking after her. I know they have other babies to look after but i can't help but think it's their job and it's what I'm paying them for! Fair enough if she's poorly but there's really nothing I can do about her cyring all the time...please be kind, I've had such a difficult time with her.
She's not great with her sleep and she's got allergies which doesn't help with her fussiness.

First thing I was going to ask was if she has allergies then saw that she does in your last paragraph.

Has she been to the allergy clinic yet? If not I'd push for that. I have CMPA and having a reaction is an utterly miserable experience.

Can I ask how she did on her 12 month check too?

Just come across this post while feeling depressed about my LO.

how are you finding it now? Did she settle at nursery?

firstly: my 6 month old baby sounds like yours! She’s just miserable most of the time. Cries/screams/moans majority of the time. She also has CMPA but this is under control with formula. Lots of family offer to have her but I can’t bring myself to let her go as I know she’ll be difficult then feel like they’ll judge me or even worse my baby!?

secondly; I work in a nursery & we’ve had children that have taken months to settle! Would it be possible to arrange settle sessions on the days you’re not at work? Then you could go in with her etc. tbh she’s probably already settled!

I just wrote on here in the hopes someone would tell me it gets better!!

Just seen this!
My daughter now loves nursery! She goes in confidently and almost every time we pick her up they say she's had a great day, she's funny and chatty and eating well!
Outside of nursery she's quite challenging, but I think just a typical toddler! She's SO much easier than when she was a baby. She can be easily distracted/ pleased.
Hope it gets better for you x
