Can anyone help, really don't know what else to do with my daughter who is eleven. She's on the pathway for asd and adhd. Also on the waiting list for some counselling.

Life unbearable with her as she's horrible from the minute she wakes up till she goes to bed. She refuses to speak to any other family members only me her mum, her sister and her nan. Even with us all she's vile. Says nasty things to us will use bad language and call us all things like fat bitches. Will be push, shove, punch and throw things at us.

Her dad passed away 5yrs ago and she's been spoilt rotten ever since. Some think she's not adhd/asd she's just spoiled as she can be good when she wants to be. Every day she's angry and violent. Will wreck every room in the house and break things in the house too.

I really don't know what else to do with her

So sorry that you haven't had any responses to this @sicknote26. You might be best asking @MNHQ move this over to the SN Children Section but I will try and help as best I can, my DD is also on the Pathway for both.

Firstly ignore the people who tell you there's nothing wrong. She wouldn't have got anywhere near the Pathway if there weren't significant signs that she might be ASD.

Secondly, read The Explosive Child.

Has she had any Counselling since the death of her DF? If not, I'd ask for that, if she's able to access Counselling. My DD is not able to as she can't express her emotions.

Does she have an ECHP and does that include anything like Art Therapy?

What are the plans for Christmas Day? Sometimes it's best to let DC with ASD have a pretty normal day, the lights and decorations, the noise and people and the unusual food can cause meltdowns, on top of which she's probably missing her DF.
