Hello,

it has been a good two months since this has been going on. My toddler (she is turning 2 next month) is having this sand-like thing in her poo. It looks a bit like coffee grounds, or like the hairs on the outside of a kiwi fruit, or sort of grit or sand. They are extremely hard to get off her bottom and they hurt her because they’re quite gritty and so when I try to clean her it isn’t the best feeling.
i have mentioned it to her GP but she didn’t even look at her.
it is not blueberries, it is not cheerios, it is not dates, nor bananas - I have tried eliminating these for weeks and it does not make a difference.
any ideas?!

Does she eat wheat? Weetabix or wholewheat bread etc are a pain for this.

If you have ruled out foods, maybe just check with her GP that it isn't blood. I'm not medically trained but my son's poos look a lot like this with bits hard to clean off his skin but he has wholewheat bread, sometimes porridge and sometimes Weetabix.
