6 year old daughter having daily temper tantrums

My 6 year old daughter appears to be having daily temper tantrums. It can be from physically lashing out at younger sibling to crying and shouting hysterically to throwing herself on the floor. Yesterday she said “I want to smash my head”

These tantrums come on just like that… she’ll be playing with younger sibling and then suddenly she’s gone in meltdown. This is only happening at home. Prior to the holidays she was happy at school, no concerns raised. When we are out with friends, again no concerns.

I have considered if it’s tiredness, hunger, boredom I just don’t know but it’s affecting her sibling, me and grandparents.

I am seriously thinking at seeing GP to discuss diabetes (was reading about this)

Any thoughts please?

Yesterday she said “I want to smash my head”

Is she feeling out of control? What calming techniques have you tried so far?

@SiouxsieSiouxStiletto We do counting, deep breathing, talk it out, use the quiet space, yoga poses, drawing. Depending on the level of anger.
