....and i bet you can tell where this is going.....

I woke at 6:30 and all was quiet, rolled oover and went back to sleep. I am 36 wks pregnant and have OC (the thing that makes u itch ALOT) so not sleeping well and next woke at half 8. Went to get the boys and DS2's beautiful long wavy hair had been HACKED OFF by DS1. He had evidently got out of bed, into the lounge (same floor) climbed to get the scissors, gone back in the bedroom and hacked ds2s hair off!

DS2 has only ever had a trim and a fringe cut, he just doesn't suit short hair at all. he now looks like he has his hair growing back after some hideous illness and his podgy face combined with his lack of language make him look and sound like a 15 ish month old

DS2 has done this a couple of times to himself, when he was about 3 and then last year when he was 7. The second time, was a couple of days after he had his holiday haircut. He said the hairdresser had not cut it short enough! So he chopped it to the bone at the front and made two huge dents on top of his head around the middle. (This was two days before our holiday).

I had to rush him back to the hairdressers so she could sort of try and tidy it up.

The scissors are actually kept out of reach - but he is just like a monkey with his climbing!

its the hormones making you cry (I cried at everything and anything from 34 to 38 weeks when dd2 arrived!!!)

Cant wait to ear the happy news (and ds2 hair will grow back )

Maddison · 24/02/2008 20:35

DS1 (7 yrs) tried to persuade me to let him cut my hair last night. When I said no he asked if he could cut my ear off instead so he could call me Lin (my name) VanGogh!! I was pmsl

I was v emotional when I was pg with DS3, so don't feel daft. Good luck with your forthcoming induction

MerlinsBeard · 25/02/2008 13:20

he asked me to stick back on with sticky tape this morning

He's possibly feeling bad about it because he knows you are. It'll grow back in no time Mum, although having had my own fair share of awful haircuts I know what you mean.

Good luck with the OC - I had it with both of my sons - v boring!
I hate losing baby curls, but maybe you have been saved having to screw yourself up to have him shorn yourself!
