Plaque/tartar at 9 months!! I have failed already :(

9month old has plaque on his bottom teeth!! I cannot believe it!! I have tried my best to brush his teeth when they came through...

Dentist barely looked at it and said he was not worried but I feel distraught!!

Has anyone been through this ? :(

Did the dentist recommend anything?

I understand why you're upset but you haven't failed. Do you brush for 2 mins? Also does your little one have juice in a bottle? Or any high sugar foods? Even fruit is best eaten with cheese as that can damage teeth

@moita no fruit juice! He only eats sweet things like sweet potato and bananas sadly as he won't go near anything bland! Trying my best to increase his palette but sadly not successful.

Dentist was a bit useless if I'm honest. No recommendation except to just keep trying to brush his teeth and to keep trying to introduce other food!
