Breastfed day 12 baby how much should they poo?

Hi guys,

I'm breastfeeding my baby who is 12 days old. I'm a bit confused on how much they should be pooping.

He currently has 1 poo a day. What is the consensus here?? Still waiting for midwife to clarify.

Sounds OK to me. There isn't that much residue from breast milk, so most of it gets used.

Sounds ok to me to me too. There's a wide range of normal so I wouldn't just reply on number of poos, look for wet nappies too and weight gain of course.

It will change as they get a bit older, both of mine were/are ebf and my first used to save it all up and do the biggest poos ever and my second went almost every time I fed her. I'm not sure which was worse to be honest!
