19 month old toddler hates other kids

Hello, hope i can get some help im regards to my sons attitude towards other kids 😮‍💨
He is wonderful around other grown up kids and teens and has a very chilled attitude towards them.. however, as soon as any kod aged between 1 to 7 walks through the door he starts to cry and cry and not want to look at them and only settles after they go. He screams at his 2 year old cousin and doesnt let her touch his toys and even gets jealous and screams if anyone picks her up etc.
Idk what to do.. i want to take him to toddler groups but there arent any later on in the day where i live (they are all at around 8:30- 10am and my toddler is a terrible sleeper so he wakes up at 9:30am so wouldnt make it in time for any of those).😩
I dont want him to grow up being anti social with no friends or have social anxiety but idk what to do. I keep telling him to be nice and play with the younger kids but he just clings to me crying!
Is this just a toddler phase and i am over worrying?
Please let me know if you experienced anything similar
Thanks 🥺🥺🥺

Hello, I honestly think it will be a phase at this extreme level however may have an element of personality in it, I.e. being an introvert when older. I would try maybe a gradual exposure approach - go to the park where other kids are playing. Reassure them they can stay with you untill they feel ready to go play, try not to force them away from you as that will probably aggravate the separation anxiety. It will definitely ease up as they get older and more independent. My best bit of advice for parenting - most extreme behaviours are phases and just need a lot of patience to get through. Hope it improves soon.

@everdaymumma thank you for your reply i am so glad someone got back to me 😓
The park thing is a really good idea, i didnt think of that maybe because the weather has been so horrible but soon when it gets better i could take him down to the park when it gets busy around late afternoon and see how it goes.. thanks for that 😊
