Currently staying with my in-laws until we move out to our own place.
My 18 month daughter is obsessed with mil . Doesn't listen to me or father. When out with mil she throws extreme tantrums and gets her way. Totally doesn't want to interact with me or her dad and says no to us. Only behaves when MIL not there. We give her undivided attention and she still rejects us. Me and her dad are so broken from it. We'd be reading a book with her then she'd take it if she sees MIL and asks her to read it..
No idea what to do..
To make matters worse .. mil says yes to everything and if there's something she does say no to Shed say "your mama said no"! Why do I have to be the bad person in my kids eyes. It's frustrating that she can't say no to my kid herself without involving me.. she's constantly responding to every whine and complaint and "protects" my child when she runs away from me to her for comfort because I tried changing her or brushing her teeth .. which she hates.
