Can I buy play sand at this time of year?

Today's nice weather was just asking to have the sand pit out, but nowhere seems to sell sand at this time of year. Anyone know where I can get some?

Argos have it on their website but you'd have to check your local store to see if they had it in stock

Go to a builder's merchants or hardware shop and ask for silver sand. Sometimes also called washed sand. Much cheaper, too.

Don't use ordinary builder's sand though, stains everything orange.

Excellent. Had just trawled the ELC website but it's not listed there (and no way I'm hauling it on the bus) but can send DH to builder's merchant. Hurrah! (I am a sand-a-holic)
