Did you find having a baby or a toddler easier?

My DD is turning one and half of me is so excited to not have a baby any more and to have a more independent toddler. But I know it's not that simple...

My question is, did you find having a baby or a toddler easier/more enjoyable? I know the grass always seems greener but those who have been through both, which did you prefer?

I have three, the eldest 5 and youngest almost 2 and have found the baby stage by far the easiest! I enjoy parenting more as they get older but definitely find it much harder. Less physically hard, but more emotionally hard and I feel more pressure.

Toddler. Times a million. BUT DS was a miserable baby and a great, easygoing, settled toddler. If you’ve had an easy baby you probably will find a toddler much more difficult!

Baby! But at the time we couldn’t wait for her to get a bit older cause we thought the sleep would improve. 21mo now and sleep is still awful but now we also have toddler tantrums to deal with as well. I think it depends on the temperament of your child. We had a really happy, sociable baby. Now we have an angry, strong willed, unsociable toddler/teenager 😂😩 and still don’t get any sleep so 🤷‍♀️ sorry you’ve caught me in the thick of it…feels like it’ll never end!

Baby!

We have an almost 3.5 yr old and an 11 week old baby.

Our eldest is so much fun, full of sass, but her tantrums make it harder than looking after baby.

Baby! A million times over. Just wish I realised that the first time around!
