Advice on fussy eating - using Ladder to Food Acceptance

Hi all, looking for advice from anyone who may have tried this with their child. I posted about my fussy eater before - was 3.5, just turned 4 DD. I had a useful appointment with a dietitian last week who suggested the above approach to see if we can try and help her with her neophobia. It is a painstakingly gradual method where you introduce a new food one at a time - a child’s fingernail sized piece - and hope that in time they gradually will accept more foods. This is my last throw of the dice before I go down the acceptance and just giving her what she will eat route!

I wanted an idea of what this looks like in practice - do you need to follow it to the letter and literally introduce a new food one at a time and take a few weeks to go through the ‘ladder’ process before starting again with a new one? And does it work? I might lose the will to live but I’m prepared to try!

Coming back to this 3 months later as I’m still hopeful and have been advised to try this - I still can’t get my 4 year old to try new foods and can’t imagine this working at all!

I've never heard of this but I'm very interested to hear others opinions! My 2, almost 3 year old is a terrible eater!

No one seems to know much about it! This is it - I just can’t really imagine beginning trying to implement this but I wanted to see if anyone else had found it helpful.
