I read somewhere that babies should be sitting up by 6 months and a few of my friends babies have his this milestone. My little girl is trying to crawl bless her and has lots of tummy time/rolling around etc. but she cannot sit up unaided, she topples over. When should she be able to sit up? Have tried her in a few toys which encourage sitting.

Around 6 months but like everything else it varies.

Crawling again varies, my first crawled at 9 months, second crawled at 7 months.. he was much more interested in trying to move and less interested in sitting. This sounds like your little one.

My DD couldn't sit up unaided at 8 months. Was completely fine and walked at about 16 months.

6 months very early. My oldest was 11 months and youngest was 9 months. Both crawled first. You can't sit if you can't crawl as how do you get to sitting? Putting them to sit is bad just let them sit when they are ready
