Narcissistic parent leading to narcissistic child

How do I get a diagnosis for if my child is showing narcissistic traits similar to narcissistic parent?

I think that's going to be difficult considering how overstretched CAMHS is right now.

Is going private an option?

Yes that’s what I’m going to do. I wasn’t sure if school would have an tests/assessments they could do? Don’t they do things for autism and ADHD?

Yea schools will send you forms to try to decide if ASD is a possibility but I'm not sure they'll be experienced enough to screen for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It's certainly worth speaking to them though.

How old are they OP?

I’ve read somewhere that personality disorders tend to begin in teenage years or early adulthood, so would be harder to get diagnosed if they were younger (for good reason).
