My grandson is 6 and a half and overnights with us every couple of weeks. I get so frustrated and not being able to talk about anything with him. His school reports, I'm led to believe, say that he's pleasant and helpful, keeps up with others in the class academically. Tonight I asked him where he was going on holiday, "France" he immediately replied. I asked if he remember going to France with Grandma and Grandad (he was 4 at the time). No answer to that, he then starts doing something else he fancies. playing with a car etc. I've never been able to have even a two sentence conversation with him. Is this normal, will I ever be able to converse with him and be closer?
