14 month old wants snacks but not meals

Recently my 14 month old has found his voice and we are getting full blown tantrums

I'm currently working if this feeding schedule

6.15am up and milk
7/7.15am breakfast
10am snack
11am (usually wants more snack)
12/12.30pm lunch (hardly eats it)
2-3pm snack
5.30pm dinner
6-6.30pm milk

He's really not eating well right now and THROWING food constantly.

He also screams until I give him a snack when out. But I'm assuming this is affecting his lunch.

He will grab my bag and cry til I give him food. I don't want to carry on giving in but we just have a miserable time out if not.

Any advice PLEASE!

I’m having the same problem with my 16 month old. I’m trying to give her dinner at 11:30 and minimising how many snacks she gets. She doesn’t like being fed by anyone so I try to give her meals which she can feed her self like sausage rolls, fish fingers, chicken nuggets etc. But they eat when they’re hungry. So maybe try giving him his dinner when he’s screaming for snacks?

I’ve just spoken to my health visitor about this same problem. She said that if they throw food on the floor to ignore that. Also to eat at the table with them, make food for yourself and extra for them on your plate, if you make a fuss about how good your food is they’ll want it and eat that

Is he thirsty? My 13mo was super shitty one day, turned out I'd not left the water bottle on the side for him to get. Just try to cut out all snacks, it's horrible to go through, just stick to your guns! It'll soon pass- Everything's a phase, right?! (My mantra for the past 13m!)
