5 month old gets the hiccups every time they laugh

As the title says... she's a pretty serious baby so not a lot gets her cracking to begin with. But even a 5 second giggle triggers half an hour of violent hiccups. It's so bad i think she's now avoiding laughing 😔

Anyone have any experience with this? Anything I can do? I LOVE hearing her geeky laugh bit feel so guilty every time i make her laugh!

@kisaki333 hi did you get to the bottom of this or did she grow out of it? My 5 month old baby is also doing this, just as he starts chuckling he gets a bit of a noise in his throat then stops and gets the hiccups instantly bless him, we've not had a full chuckle because of it :(

Hi Rhu!
Never got to the bottom of it. She is now 2 and 2 months and STILL gets the hiccups if she laughs wholeheartedly. I don't think it's an issue, though, and I am sure she will grow out of it soon.
