He's just turned 10 months yesterday. He's not pulling to stand, he can't weight bear, he can only stand holding onto something for a few seconds, he doesn't wave clap or point but he bangs 2 toys together, he rarely babbles eg mamamama dadadada bababaa, he's not crawling he's trying but he just physically can't and he gets frustrated. He can't pick up finger food from a plate and feed himself. He hates loud noises and people raising their voice and he takes these wee episodes where he would stare blank into space. He only started rolling over at 9 months. Am I worrying too much?!

I think it’s early to be worried to be honest! Especially as he’s just gone 10 months so should only be starting to do 9 month old things. He sounds a lot like my baby was at that age. Mine didn’t babble repetitively, start clapping or waving until nearly 11 months. All three of those things happened within a month or so and now he never stops doing all of these things. A lot happens developmentally between 9-12 months so I’d say give it time. When is your next public health nurse review?

This can be a really anxiety-inducing age for many parents (take it from someone who knows!)

Babies hit milestones at different ages and if your baby doesn't hit them until a little later, it can majorly set the worry off.

Have you had the 9-12month development review? It'll give you a chance to express yout concerns to a HV.

I suggest to talk to professional.
Don't blame vaccines
and don't pick any suspect book from library or stores, most of them are just popular junk and there just to entertain. Search for reviews of book before buying it.

A friend of my husband's at uni didn't talk until he was four. He passed his degree with a first :)

@Chzm my little one is fine, he was just a little delayed socially when he was little, but he has caught up and I no longer have any concerns 😊
