8 week old - sleeps all day - awake at night

My DS is 8 weeks old. He currently sleeps wonderfully through the day. Wakes for a feed, relaxes, then back to sleep. Sometimes he wakes, feeds then straight back to sleep. He js barely awake in the day.

however at night it’s a different story. He wakes, and feeds… then wakes for hours.

I understand you can’t sleep train a baby, but is there anything I can do to help him to sleep better at night and more awake in the day.

at night, we keep the lights down & don’t really play/engage with him to try and show him that it’s just sleep & bed… but doesn’t seem to work.

He has day night confusion from the sounds of it! For naps you will need to start capping them and also expose him to a lot of light during the day, so don't put him in a dark room for nap. Maybe let him sleep over b the okay mat or bouncer if you have one. It usually isn't recommended to let a 8 week old sleep for longer than 2.5/3 hours for naps. start a routine where you swaddle him when it comes to night night and set in a good nightly routine so he knows it as a familiar routine. May take a few weeks but baby will get there.
