Huge vocabulary but doesn’t use it - when did you see improvements?

DD has recently been diagnosed as autistic at 3.5y.

She has a huge vocabulary but doesn’t use it effectively. It’s like it’s all there but she just can’t string it all together at the minute. She can sometimes be what appears to be “lazy”, by requesting with single words which when prompted she can form into a full sentence. She’s also still struggling a little with switching her pronouns around and copying how we say it instead (“I get it for you” instead of “can you get it for me” for example).

Any experience here? Did it all eventually come together and if so, when? Did you do anything or was it a matter of time and lots of modelling? We did SLT but they were focused on attention and turn taking activities.
