Mucus in nappies - does my baby have CMPA?

Hiya

I have just had my second son, he’s 4 weeks old on Friday. He’s got really mucusy nappies and although he seems to sleep most of the day, he is very unsettled all night and seems general uncomfortable after most feeds. We tried colic drops as he was very windy and although that’s helped a bit (especially with the wind) the other things remain.

Just wondering if anyone had experienced this and what the outcome was? I wasn’t sure if it could be CMPA or similar. I’m going to speak to GP tomorrow anyway just asking wise fellow mums 🙂

Are you breastfeeding or formula feeding?

Yes it could be CMPA, is he sick as well after feeds? Definitely speak to gp and they'll probably get you a trial of a dairy free formula x
