Hello!

Looking for advice re my 4 year old girl. She has always been a handful behaviour wise and this has definitely escalated in the last month or so. But despite all her bad behaviour and lashing out at me, she wont go to either grandparents house for a sleepover. We live in the same town as both sets of grandparents and we are all very close. Theyve always been so helpful raising my daughter. My mum in particular has helped out loads with childcare etc. My daughter has been going for sleepovers since she was like 2/3 months old and would go about once a month. To the point that i honestly thought she preferred being there than at home lol. She has the best time and always happy. However the last few months she will absolutely not go for a sleepover. 5 times we have tried but she ends up distressed and comes home. We are desperate for a break and im really struggling with the sudden change and very concerned about this.

Hoping its just a phase but doesnt help me right now Sad

my niece who is 3 is refusing as well but I think this is partly due to lockdown and me not being able to have her sleepover for a while its frustrating as my sister is desperate for a reak and is a single parent

I can count on one hand the number of times anyone except nursery has ever looked after my 3YO... You either have to tell her she's staying there whether she likes it or not and leave her no matter how worked up she gets or you have to suck it up and accept that you won't be getting as much free time. You can't force her to be happy about being cared for by somebody else
