I could really do with some advice or thoughts from other mums that may have experienced this. My lovely DS is in year 4, so 8 years old, and is friends with girls. He says that he has friends that are boys but never plays with them at break, as he hates football and apparently they all love football.
He seemed happy until recently where two separate boys have had Birthday parties and didn’t invite him. He got invited to a girls party instead and was the only boy. He’s started to realise the difference but doesn’t want to play football and this is all the boys seem to be interested in. I don’t know what to do, I’ve said to him about going outside his comfort zone and maybe one break try football and the other play with the girls, but he seems resistant to all suggestions. Any advice or thoughts would be really helpful - thank you!
