Teacher says my child ‘cries too much’

My son is in year 3 (late august born so youngest in the year). Today his teacher told me he ‘cries too much’. Cries when he gets told off for something small and is crying daily. She asked him to try not to cry and she asked me what I can do to support this. I am a bit lost with what exactly to do to help him be more resilient. He is quite tearful at home and I just put that down to him being quite sensitive personality wise.
I said to the teacher that asking someone not to cry so often isn’t going to necessarily stop them crying and asked her if she had any suggestions (she didn’t and just said to him that now he is in the juniors, he mustn’t cry so much).
Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone have any ideas? no idea on how to help him sorry but if you ask for your post to be moved over to Primary Education, you might get someone with more of a clue answering Smile

Look up the resilience alphabet, you could go through it with him.
