Hello, my 5 year old is non verbal, he was born with sever heart defects which have required 3 open heart surgeries, after one of his surgeries he suffered multiple seizures in a very short space of time, they assumed my poor baby had suffered a stroke during the surgery, he were rushed into CT but the scan came back clear, he was kept on anti seizure meds for 1 year and he had one during that year when he was at home with me. The seizures looked just like I always expected one to look, shaking all over making strange noises. So he came off the Medicine After 1 year and seamed ok. He then was diagnosed with autism and sever global developmental delay, last week he was sat on the sofa watching the tv, I went up to him and he doesn’t look At me he never has, but I stood Infront of him and came down to his level, he looked right through me, he was frozen, I prodded him and shouted his name and I got zero response, I called for my boyfriend who witnessed this, he was frozen for over 1 minuet while I was there but Iv no idea how long it had been going on before I was there, then all of a sudden he seen me but he got the biggest shock that I was stood there and he jumped like really jumped! It was like he wasn’t there and couldn’t see or hear me then suddenly he could and was super shocked I was there! What could this have been? Was it possibly a seizure if he wasn’t shaking? Could he have just fallen asleep with his eyes open maybe?
