Baby cries around anybody else

My 4 month old just cries around anybody else! Even familiar family members who she has always been around, this has been happening for about 4 weeks. She cannot be left with anybody but her dad! Any advice on how to get her better? I've tried them coming round to my house so she can get used to them in her own environment but no luck, no one can even hold her because she gets so upset she's inconsolable. We go away in 4 weeks with some family members and I am dreading it

Hey @shan0407, this described my LO not so long ago to a tee. I actually posted a thread similar to yours! Well, long story short - IT GETS BETTER. It’s just a phase but by around 5/5 and a half months, my LO turned into a very social baby. Keep doing what you’re doing so she gets familiar with people but try not to pressure her. She’ll come round and your arms will get some rest again soon enough xx

Aw thank you! Everyone I know says it's just a phase and I know everything will be fine in the end but it's a nightmare at the moment haha! Fingers crossed mine gets better like your LO, always makes me feel like I've done something wrong

I know, it’s bloody hard and tiring. Your LO definitely will come round and you’ve done nothing wrong. This is all very natural and if you think about it, they do this because they feel so safe with you. They’re overwhelmed by everything they’ve finally woken up to in the world and you’re their safe space. You’re doing great mama x

Some babies are just like this and it’s just a phase.

Ds1 used to do this all the time. If anyone apart from me or dh would even look at him, god forbid talk to him he would burst into panicked tears. He grew out of it eventually. He’s 4 now, he’s the most sociable little boy ever, talks to everyone, says hi to random people he doesn’t know in the street

Aw that makes me feel better that it's definitely not just me! Gonna take some time but she will get there
