Hello just looking for some advice. My little boy is almost 2 and I've noticed recently that when he's upset he will go into the corner of the kitchen away from me to cry I've always just assumed he did this because he wanted something from the kitchen( food) but today he's very poorly and has been doing it all day I pick him up to comfort him and he runs back through again and usually he accepts a drink or a snack but it's clear that isn't what he wants. I don't ever put him in the corner or no naughty step for punishment so I'm really worried is to why he's doing it

We went through a phase of this with DD, actually she still does it sometimes and same as you never ever did time outs or anything like that. I worried and worried about it so I now just follow her and sit down next to her and wait until she's ready to be held. She just gets more upset if I try to hold her so I just wait and hold me arms out every so often. It still upsets me but I've had to accept that's how she is.

Sorry no real advice there but just wanted to say you're not alone in this
