Baby cuddles everyone apart from me :(

My one year old has recently started cuddling by putting his head on things.... dogs, teddies and everyone, well apart from me!

I'm really happy that he has started doing it as I was anxious that he wasn't very cuddley (autism?) before now but this just sucks!

I've provided and cared for him pretty much entirely for his whole life but no, it's his dad and grandma that gets all the cuddles.

I'm sure this is just a phase but has anyone else had anything similar?

My LB went through a stage of giving his Dad and Grandparents kisses if they asked for one, but not me. I found it very sad too because he'll cry if I leave the room but wouldn't give me a kiss.

If I ask for a cuddle now he always gives me one but still no kisses but I've stopped pushing it, if he doesn't give me one I just ask for a hug instead.

Sounds like my 16 month old DD. I ask for a cuddle, she slaps me but if my mum asks she’ll give her one

Do they fully understand what cuddles and kisses are though. I mean, I know they realise it's a sign of affection but perhaps they just want your cuddles and feel happy with that comfort and don't feel they need to give back? They're already secure in you and you're love, happy because they are sat on your knee being cuddled. My one year plays kiss with me, sometimes he will kiss me and others not, both times he finds it hilarious.
