DD11 day 5 of her first period

my dd aged 11 got her first period on the 28th, and i've been giving her some winged pads and told her that normally her first periods are irregular, but she's really confused and annoyed at the fact that her periods are lasting 'way' longer than her peers. at the moment she's asking me if her periods will last longer than 10 weeks...help appreciated

Both me and DD have periods of 7-8 days. DD has been regular from her first AF and I think I was too.

Has she got a choice of things to try like different pads, tampons and some period pants?

@BunnyRuddington since starting her periods, told her that she has a choice of tampons, pads and period underwear, but she was hesitant to try tampons and thinks that pads are the most convenient. wanted to try period pants for her second period though she says my periods are normally 6 to 7 days, sometimes 8 so i'm assuming hers will be like that or maybe shorter since she's just starting
