Sonnet I was on one a few month ago but it was under chat so has disappeared.

How old is your DD2?

Sonnet · 21/11/2007 13:14

Hi,
DD2 is 6 ( 7 in Jan).Has always been more "strong minded" than her more placid older sister but just seems to be getting worse - shouting and hitting out when things don't go her way. I do know that when I am calm and rational she is not so bad - But I too can go off the deep end . The bigger problem is DH's reaction who seems to be just loosing it with her all the time which only makes the situation worse.

I have the book - and did read some of it a couple of years ago. Need to re-read and arm myself to advise DH who thinks he is always right......

sonnet - are you married to my DH?

have the same problem with mine and have read the book but he thinks that the shouting thing works so much better....

Othersideofthechannel · 21/11/2007 13:21

I'm sure you will find the book helpful for this age.
I hope you can convince your DH to read it too, at least the chapter summaries.

Sonnet · 21/11/2007 13:46

LOL Tommy - yes he so so believes that shouting outloud works best - he just can't see he is making a mountain out of a molehill - well I think I have convinced him of that now ! - but need alternative strategy.....

OSOTC - here's hoping!

Am actually reading the old thread form May and havn't laughed so much for weeks!!
