10mo nodding her head all of a sudden

Hi I am wondering if anyone’s baby does the same. My DD is 10mo and the past week she has been nodding her head slowly moving her head as far back as she can. She done it last week in the bath before bed then she started smiling and splashing. She’s has done it twice today while sat in the garden playing. Just wondering if anyone’s lo does the same. We are going to try and video it next time and ask the doctor. As I have seen on Google infantile spasms. It doesn’t look the same as she is doing as she seems to choose to move her head and her legs and arms don’t stick of or anything but still a little concerned.

If you distract her does she stop? It's probably just a weird baby thing. My first DS used to tip his head backwards and laugh etc. Worth recording just to be safe though.

Thankyou for your reply @Foreverbaffled The first time she done it she did stop. Yesterday when she done it I wasn’t there but my partner said she did stop but then done it again. So I do think it’s a new thing she has learnt but it’s so just worrying isn’t it

They are always a worry aren't they. I'd be reassured that she can be distracted. My first DS did loads of strange things and I was obsessed with infantile spasms but my understanding is they tend to come in clusters, become more frequent very rapidly and are usually accompanied by a loss of skills so it seems very unlikely from what you are describing.
