Hi all
I need some advice on how to deal with my situation.
My son is 7 years old now and is one of the most kind and well-behaved boys in his school. Unfortunately, he is also very shy and hates any form of loud, rough, typical boyish behaviour.
At school, because he is one of the weakest boys, the main bully in his class targets him, pushes him around. Get the other boys to play a bit rough with him.
Now my son is very reserved and quietly tells the boys to leave him alone and not to be rough. He tells his teachers who try their best to stop the situation. The school know who the main boy is, they can only do what is in their remit.
I would love to know what can I do to help my son. Should I teach him to become a bit tougher and to stand up for himself?
When he tells me the boy twisted his arm. I told him to push his arm away, he tells me no we are not allowed to do that.
What can I get the school to do? My worry is that my son will grow up to be a push-over, be someone who doesn't stand up for himself.
