Hi Ive literally have had enough.!!! My 5 year old wees the bed on purpose. He will stand on his bed and just wee everywhere. Even over his brother. I'm really stuck on what to do!!! When I tell him off he just laughs. Thinks it's funny. Help a desperate mummy out. Im at my wits end.

What punishments are in place to stop this?
Telling him off clearly isn't working. Taking away privileges, tablet, tv, pocket money, pudding - whatever works if he does this. Behaviour chart. If he keeps weeing on his bed I'd take it away and have him sleep on the mattress on the floor. At 5, it's just awful behaviour and needs nipping in the bud.

Is he the only one of your 4 boys that does this? Is he showing off to his younger brothers? I would be talking to my HV about this kind of behaviour.

Punishing as such I don't think will help. I'd leave a potty by his bed (yeh I know it's likely behavioural but this gives him no excuse) and I'd try not to rise to it. I'd make him clean up the mess and keep sheeting etc to a minimal until he gets the msg and maybe use some sort of plastic sheeting if you can. Could you put the younger one to sleep in your own bed then move him overnight to protect him? Have you chatted with him about why he's doing it? It's not nice but I'm not convinced you're going to get on top of it punishing him either. Good luck xx
