I’m trying to help to pass around the voice about a research that focuses on understanding the experience of mothers that are exposed to child to mother aggressive behaviours from Primary School aged children and I need some participants willing to take part - information will be protected.
We want these families to get the best help and for this mother to be understood, but that is only possible if the voices of these mothers are heard.
Thank you sooooo much for your help with this important cause.
You don’t even have to contact me, you can contact the researcher, Giulia, directly on [email protected]
This is a Doctoral Research Project that has received ethical approval by The New School of Pscyhotherapy and Counselling and Middlesex University.

There are quite tight requirements for this research, so I shall share them now to save you time, they are:

You have a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 3 children
You are the biological mother and at least one child age 6 to 12 is presenting with physical and/or verbal and/or emotional aggressive behaviours toward you.
Your child (age 6-12) has presented with aggressive behaviours toward you for at least 3 months within the past year o Your child attends a mainstream school and s/he does not have any diagnosed developmental disability
You are in a heterosexual relationship
You are married and/or in partnership living together with your child/children o You attended and/or are still attending facilitated parenting groups and/or are taking part in parenting forums/support groups or any other type of support where you have already spoken first-hand about your experience
You are based in the UK and a full-time UK resident o You are fluent in the English language
You are available for a 60-90 minutes interview via Zoom – Everything you share will be anonymised.
Please Note-
Unfortunately, on this occasion and for this specific project we are unable to recruit participants that are impacted by one or more of the following:

  • domestic violence at the hands of your intimate partner - substance misuse issues.

Thank you for reading and please do contact the researcher if you can.
