16 month hitting me and always throwing food / toys

It seems like he is throwing temper tantrums as he slaps me when he can’t get his own way or frustrated! Do I ignore or do I address it and say no?
With eating he throws his food all the time and when I am picking it up throws it more or will look at me and throw it - are these normal behaviours?

Sounds totally normal to me. He is just a baby acting like a baby. I wouldn’t worry about it - as he gets older you can explain to him how he should behalf but plenty of older children have their moments too.

I’d calmly say not throw food it and then focus on distracting him
